10k CHARITY BEACH RACE & 1 MILE FUN RUN
September 20th 2009 - 12 noon (low tide)
AS FEATURED ON BBC RADIO LEEDS WITH ANDREW & GEORGEY

Route:
Half circumference of the holiday park, followed by 5 miles of glorious (firm) sandy beach, and completing the park circumference.

Who can enter:
10k. Anyone over 16.
Fun Run: Anyone. Under 16's must be accompanied by a paying adult.

What's it for:
This event is for pleasure and fund raising. We want you to enjoy the event at your own pace. There will be some serious club runners taking part, but you can a walk or run along our beautiful sandy beach. At the same time you will enjoy knowing you are helping a charity which is suffering in this poor economic climate. So join us and give your dog a long walkies, dust off your running shoes and burn some calories?

What happens afterwards:
Why not arrange to meet with friends at the holiday park and have a well deserved picnic and bottle of wine or enjoy the park entertainment and facilities? Every person who completes this event will be awarded a quality goodie bag, commemorative medal, t-shirt, chocolate bar, Powerade. PLUS there are trophies for the first three male and female to cross the line, and spot prizes.

Raising sponsorship money:
This is a FUN event for Cancer Research UK, so it is vital that you raise as much sponsorship as you can. We all appreciate what a difficult time this is for us all, and the charities are suffering too. 
Every penny of your £14 / £5 goes to Cancer Research UK.
