The Scale Wizard uses modern technology to
create an electrical field that changes the behaviour of scale

Why it works
Scale Wizard is a small, electronic unit which is easily connected to the rising main and a suitable power source. Once connected, it emits a computer modulated signal which actually changes the properties of the calcium crystals which normally form scale.
The electronic disturbance of these crystals stops build up of scale by preventing them from adhering to each other. Water solubility is increased and therefore, existing scale dissolves back into the water and is gradually removed.
There are no chemical changes to the water content which will retain beneficial minerals and taste the same. |

Installation
|

INSTALLATION:
This is usually a simple DIY fit taking around 30 minutes.
The Scale Wizard is normally installed on the cold water mains pipe in a convenient location where it enters the house. This will then cover the water supply for the whole house.
Should this not be possible, it can be fitted to the inflow or outflow of the cold water tank or to the cold feed of the hot water system. This will then cover all hot water in the house which is the main cause of most scale.
FITTING:
The Scale Wizard unit can be fitted up to a metre away from the pipe location and a mains socket outlet will be required within 3 metres of the unit.
Longer leads can be supplied to special order.
You will need a minimum of 10 cm of straight pipe for fitting the wire coil. The coil is wrapped around the pipe, which can be of lead, steel, copper or plastic. If the pipework divides before you are able to install the unit, it is possible to treat two pipes using a single coil on each pipe.
The pipe location for installation can be horizontal, vertical or diagonal and the electronic unit can be placed at any suitable angle without affecting operation.

HOW
CAN I TELL IF IT WORKING?
In around 4 to 6 weeks, you should notice:
- The softening of scale around the basins
- Scale flaking away from the kettle element and shower rose
- Water often feels silkier
- Water feeling hotter and the ability to turn down the thermostat
- Improved performance of washing machines and dishwashers.
- The ability to reduce the amount of soap, shampoo, detergents and cleaners.

WHERE DOES THE LIME SCALE GO TO?
It is dissolved gradually into the water and the water goes down the drain.
DOES IT AFFECT THE DRINKING WATER?
Water remains chemically unchanged, retaining the beneficial minerals and tastes the same so you do not need a separate drinking tap.
CAN I FIT THE UNIT OR DO I NEED A PLUMBER?
No plumbing is involved, so most customers fit the unit themselves and it should take no more than 30
minutes.
DOES IT REQUIRE ANY MAINTENANCE?
Once installed, the unit will require no maintenance at all for its expected life span of 10 - 20 years or more.
WHAT PIPE MATERIAL IS IT SUITABLE FOR?
The unit can be fitted on copper, plastic, steel or lead pipes.
WHERE SHOULD THE SCALE WIZARD BE FITTED?
The ideal place is on the rising main so all the water that enters the
caravan is treated, but if necessary, it can be fitted further up the system.
HOW MUCH PIPE IS NEEDED FOR INSTALLATION?
